Media and Educational Resources

Welcome to the Media and Educational Resources section of the Governor-General's website.

This section contains information for use by the media, such as speeches, press releases, lists of engagements and downloadable photographs for printing.   There are also speeches by current and former Governors-General on constitutional issues.

If you want to receive media releases by email, you can provide your email address or subscribe to an RSS feed that allows you to be automatically notified when new releases, speeches or features are added to the website.  Media inquiries should be directed to Antony Paltridge, Public Affairs Manager, on either +64-4-382 0827 or +64-21-470 583

This section also contains educational resources for use by teachers.  Based on the social studies component of the 2007 National Curriculum, one resource is at Level 4 (senior primary level) and the other at Level 5 (junior secondary level).   Both teachers and students will also find the image gallery, speeches and other sections of the website useful in preparing lessons and undertaking projects.
