Prince William is the elder son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. He was born on 21 June 1982, at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London, and christened on 4 August 1982.
Prince William was educated at Eton College and St Andrews University in Scotland, where he graduated in 2005. He was commissioned as an army officer in front of The Queen in December 2006 and joined the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals) as a Second Lieutenant. While still a Lieutenant in the Household Cavalry, Prince William is now training to be a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.
