As a part of their State Visit to Turkey, the Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand and Lady Satyanand, went for a cruise on the Bosporus, the waterway that connects the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, on 22 April 2009. In the background is the Dolmabahçe Sarayı, which served as the administrative centre of the former Ottoman Empire. The Palace, located on the European side of the Bosporus, was built between 1843 and 1856.
