Launch of Children's Day Characters

  • <span class="title">Launch of Children's Day Characters</span><br/><p> Her Excellency Susan Satyanand, as Patron of National Children's Day, launched the new Children's Day characters at Wellington City Library on 10 December 2007. As well as unveiling the new characters, Mrs Satyanand read a book, The Puriri Tree, to children from Thorndon's Sacred Heart School. Children's Day is held on the first Sunday in March and in 2008 will be held on 2 March.
