Governor-General Visits the Far North

  • <span class="title">Governor-General Visits the Far North (1)</span><br/><p>  The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand,  made their first official visit to the Far North in December 2007. On 6  December they travelled to Cape Reinga, the northern most tip of  mainland New Zealand and are pictured at the base of the Cape's iconic  lighthouse.  </p>
  • <span class="title">Governor-General Visits the Far North (2)</span><br/><p>  The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand,  made their first official visit to the Far North in December 2007. On 7  December they travelled to Dargaville to the offices of the Kaipara  District Council, where they were welcomed by Mayor Neil Tiller.  </p>
  • <span class="title">Governor-General Visits the Far North (4)</span><br/><p>  The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand,  made their first official visit to the Far North in December 2007. On 7  December they travelled to Dargaville and toured the Kumara Box, a  facility that highlights the kumara industry in New Zealand. Most  kumara (New Zealand sweet potato) are grown in the Northland area.  </p>
  • <span class="title">Governor-General Visits the Far North (3)</span><br/><p>  The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand,  made their first official visit to the Far North in December 2007. On 6  December they travelled to Mangonui and visited Oruaiti School.  </p>
  • <span class="title">Governor-General Visits the Far North (5)</span><br/><p>  The Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand,  made their first official visit to the Far North in December 2007. On 7  December they travelled to Whangarei and visited the Maunu Children's  Health Camp before it closed for the year. The Governor-General is the  Patron of Children's Health Camps.  </p>
