  • <span class="title">Tupare Gardens - electric vehicle</span><br/>As a part of the visit to New Plymouth's Tupare Gardens on 30 October 2009, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, launched the garden's new electric vehicle.  The vehicle is designed to assist those with mobility issues traverse the steep drive to the gardens.
  • <span class="title">Coastal Taranaki School</span><br/>As a part of their Taranaki Regional Visit, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Satyanand, visited Coastal Taranaki School at Okato on 29 October 2009.
  • <span class="title">Civic welcome</span><br/>The Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Satyanand, were welcomed to New Plymouth with a civic reception at the New Plymouth District Council chambers on 28 October 2009, where they met with representatives from a number of community organisations, including Hospice Taranaki.  The Governor-General and Lady Satyanand are pictured with, from left, Mike Brooke, trustee; Dr Marion Sephton, Medical Team Leader; and Kevin Nielsen, Chief Executive.  Photo: NPDC.
  • <span class="title">Tupare Gardens </span><br/>To mark their visit to New Plymouth's Tupare Gardens on 30 October 2009, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, planted a tree.   Tupare Gardens, administered by the Taranaki Regional Council, features significantly in the Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival which runs from late October to mid-November.
  • <span class="title">Moturoa School</span><br/>The Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Satyanand, visited Moturoa School in New Plymouth on 30 October 2009 to inspect the school's programme of growing trees for use by the Department of Conservation.
  • <span class="title">Methanex</span><br/>As a part of their regional visit to Taranaki, Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Satyanand, visited the Methanex complex at Motonui on 28 October 2009.
